There&#039;s a widespread belief that digitalization should only be used in customer relations. However, customer relations alone are not enough. Digitalization in internal management is also crucial for success.<\/p>\n<p>Digitalization enables the collection of data in an electronic environment. However, success cannot be expected unless the methods of data collection and processing are well-designed.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bill Gates, \u201cThe first rule for any technology is that automation applied to efficient operations increases efficiency. The second rule is that automation applied to inefficient operations increases inefficiency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The whole world is searching for ways to embrace digitalization. Scientists are conducting research. They are suggesting strategies and methods to business people. MIT and Harvard Universities are leading scientific institutions in this field. Based on discussions in various settings, I conclude that the webinars and books published by these institutions are not being read.<\/p>\n<p>My observations suggest that actions are being taken based on hearsay.<\/p>\n<p>It is observed that things are done by guesswork rather than by reading. The mistakes made are examples of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An organization can hire an outsider without knowing its own employees well.<\/li>\n<li>They don&#039;t feel the need to train their employees. They expect them to do whatever the outsider tells them to do.<\/li>\n<li>The organization does not clearly define its own processes.<\/li>\n<li>They are not creating a process map.<\/li>\n<li>It does not define the relationships between the processes.<\/li>\n<li>They don&#039;t realize that data obtained without these characteristics cannot be evaluated.<\/li>\n<li>When defining its processes, the company fails to involve qualified and competent IT personnel.<\/li>\n<li>The principle of working through projects is not widespread.<\/li>\n<li>There is a lack of awareness about what needs to be learned.<\/li>\n<li>It is not clearly understood whether it is necessary to demonstrate that the data was obtained based on evidence.<\/li>\n<li>It is not widely understood that these three elements are the core:\n<ol>\n<li>Person<\/li>\n<li>Period<\/li>\n<li>Technology (data capacity and data processing capacity, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Efforts should be made in this area as well to become a knowledge-based society.
